APPOINTMENT OF AUDITOR

  • If there is an audit committee, then first the audit committee shall consider the appointment of the auditor and recommend the same to the Board.
It is better take a profile of 4 to 5 Auditors.This helps the audit committee to short list few auditors on some pre-determned criteria.
  • To obtain consent from the proposed auditors.
  • Hold a board meeting for the convening of the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
  • Hold the AGM to appoint the auditor.
  • Give the letter to the auditor confirming the appointment.
  • File Form No. ADT.1 with ROC within 15 days of the appointment.
